Not many people know, but stroke ranks first among the causes of death in the population in Ukraine. Project Aid & Rescue, received a generous donation from one of our selfless partners and we shipped this delicate medication by special air cargo from Chicago.
This medicine that can save more than one life and provide for the possibility of treatment and the timely prevention of a debilitating stroke.
Lovenox, is an anticoagulant medication. It is used to treat and prevent deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism including during pregnancy and following certain types of surgery. It is also used to treat those with acute coronary syndrome and heart attacks.
This medication is very expensive (1 box retails for about $15,000) and needed a special Pelican case to keep the medications at room temperature. Thank you to our donor who saved lives by donating this medication.
