Bus Evacuation Update

WE DID IT!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! Because of our amazing supporters we have brought 78 souls to Freedom.
78 Ukrainians who are now “refugees” arrived in Berlin (Tegel Airport Refugee Center). This is the largest bus evacuation we have ever done thanks to the fact that we were finally lucky enough to get a double decker bus! All passengers were from occupied territories and war zones. There were people with serious diseases and injuries. There were also many children again and two large multi-child families from the Kharkiv region. Among those who were evacuated are some who’s communities have been recaptured by Ukrainian Forces, but they have lost their homes, so they have nowhere to return to. They have dealt with unthinkable trauma over the last 7 months and they decided to leave. Katerina who organized the Bus Evacuation in Ukraine rode the bus to Berlin. Katerina and her team have sent her gratitude and thanks to everyone from Project Aid & Rescue and all of the people who have made individual donations to fund the bus evacuations.

I want to personally say “Thank You” for doing your part to help those who have suffered from this terrible war.

Here are some pictures of the bus and of its arrival at Tegel.
